Well Denny Hamlin gets the win at Martinsville ending the Hendrick dominance there
So interesting week to say the least. Biggest topic to say the least had to be the tire tampering as Nascar called it. From what I can gather out of it all teams where either putting holes in tires purposely so the tires would leak air as tire pressures increased or they maybe had check valves in the tires stems that would do the same. Nascar did make a warning before Martinsville telling teams to stop manipulating with the tires. Well as it turns out there was one team that got fined from tires taken from the Fontana race. Ryan Newman and team were hit with a P5 Penalty which essentially takes away 75 points from Ryan Newman the team loses crew chief Luke Lambert and team tire technician James Bender and team engineer Philip Surgen for the next 6 races.
I think the tire thing has obviously been going on for some time, or at least that is the rumor that it is out there.
