Race 24 – Bristol, 23Aug2014 – Update

Joey Logano gets his first Bristol win on Saturday, not many cars could pass on the bottom like his could. 

Only Atlanta and Richmond races left and the chase begins.  I think there are more cars this year than any that have a legitimate chance at winning it.  Where winning is almost everything it should be a good last 12 races.

In the pool we have Rusty-Cup, Glasses, Best of the Best, Irv-1, and Slant.

Rounding out the top 10 we have Smokinjoe00, Team Cool, Broken Dreams, Wiarton Service and FLAT TIRE.

Most points for the week goes to Nana’s Pick with 325.

Biggest gain for the week also goes to Nana’s Pick and Papa’s Pal both up 10 positions.

Biggest slide for the week goes to Arm down 12 spots..

Off to Atlanta we go, should be another week with fast cars, they should break the track record again during qualifying.

Race 23, Michigan, Aug 17, 2014 – Update

Jeff Gordon gets his 3rd win of the season with a win in Michigan on Sunday. 

Crying Ryan (Newman) didn’t like the tight racing there was between him and Jimmie Johnson.  I guess since Jimmie is in the chase he thought Jimmie raced him pretty hard for 10th.  Maybe so but does Ryan ever just pull over for anyone?  Ryan Newman and Juan Pablo Montoya are pretty much the same in that respect, but who doesn’t love battles on the track?  Good to see Ryan racing hard, bad to see him upset because he was raced the way he races everyone else.

Michigan

It is sad to see the way the media has painted Tony Stewart, very ignorant people reporting news that is so unfactual.  Sure there was a tragedy here but if you can’t report facts don’t report at all.  Trust me Tony Stewart will never be the same because of this.  I can’t imagine how he is feeling hearing people say it was intentional.

AJ Allemdinger gets his first Sprint Cup win holding off Marcos Ambrose at Watkins Glen International. 

Was a sad day yesterday to say the least. Fan or no fan of Tony Stewart, I know for sure Tony never meant to run over Kevin Ward Jr.  Condolences go out to Kevin Ward Jr.’s family, friends and Tony Stewart after the tragedy on Saturday night at Canadaigua Raceway.
