Race Update – Charlotte May 26, 2019

Hit the wall early in the race and then come back to win the race, congratulations to Martin Truex Jr for getting the job in the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte. I will say I thought it was one of the best Coca Cola 600s in a long time, the new rules package created a lot of excitement. Bowman and the 88 team ended it’s 3 consecutive 2nd place finishes. I misspoke last week about Chad Knaus being Bowman’s crew chief, Greg Ives is actually doing that job. Chad on the other hand is crew chief for William Byron in the 24 car who has also been doing well lately. I thought Brad Keslowski might be back in the winners circle after being so strong for the first 3/4 of te race but the race was full of many turns of events.

In the pool we have Team Gerda, 68 Dad, Whiskey Matters, Three Amigos, Circle M Racing #1

Rounding out the top 10 we have Last Lap Handicaps, Team Infinity War, Whiskey Farms, Coolheat, and Team Kaleb.

Biggest move for the week goes to Diesel Dad and T’s Speedsters both up 19 spots

Race Update – Kansas May 11, 2019

Wow best race of the year in my opinion!  Lots of passing, lots of possible winners, great new package for this track. My only complaint was if they had to get out of the gas to not run someone over for getting blocking, took a while to get back to speed. I am not a big fan of the blocking, but hey it is what it is. But aside from that I thought the whole race was exciting. Brad Keselowski gets the victory, 3rd for this year. It was nice to see Alex Bowman have a shot at a win, 3 straight second place finishes for him and the 88 team.

 

In the pool we have Three Amigos, Team Gerda, Whiskey Matters, Whiskey Farms, 68 Dad.

All-star race this weekend, blah, never been a big fan of this event, needs to be moved around in my opinion.  I do like Charlotte, fast track, lots of passing on the dog leg front stretch, just back to back races there with the Coke 600 there right after takes away from racing there.  Happy to hear they are going to run the road course there in the fall.
