California2016

Kevin Harvick missed another one.  Late restart advantage goes to closer Jimmie Superman Johnson

The late race caution is all that Jimmie needed to pull out another victory in his home state.

Most points for the week goes to JoJo and Amigo Haters with 291.

Biggest gain for the week goes to Shot in the Dark and Three Amigos up 26 spots.

Biggest slide for the week goes to Yolo down 47 spots.

Off weekend for Easter, enjoy something else on Sunday.

PhoenixMar2016

Kevin Harvick another win at Phoenix? Yep surprised me too lol

Well at least Carl Edwards made it close at the end and almost beat the seemingly unbeatable Kevin Harvick at Phoenix.

Harvick had the same approach to this race as the usual Phoenix wins. Sit back for the first half of the race, take care of the car and then take the lead at about the halfway point and never look back.

Most points for the week goes to Kim-Way with 294.

Biggest gain for the week goes to Bon’s Picks up 37 spots.

Biggest slide for the week goes to Zig-Zag Racing down 35 spots.

Off to Auto Club Speedway in California this coming Sunday.

LAS VEGAS, NV - MARCH 09: Brad Keselowski, driver of the #2 Miller Lite Ford, celebrates in Victory Lane after winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 9, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Jerry Markland/Getty Images)

Well Bad Brad is back in the winner’s circle at Las Vegas for 2016.

There were about 4 cars at end who were equally as good but Brad had the better car in the final laps and he could pass on the bottom.

The drivers seem to indicate they like the new rules package and it appears the fans like it too as well.

Most points for the week goes to UofT Graduate with 254.

Biggest gain for the wee goes to Highland Girl up 51 positions.

Biggest slide for the week goes to Over Excitable down 46 spots.

Off to Phoenix, it has been Kevin Harvick’s track as of late.

Kyle Busch is your 2015 Nextel Cup Champion!!

Homestead2015Kyle Busch had a year no one would have ever guessed after his Daytona crash. Kyle won the race at Homestead and needed to win Homestead to win the Championship with Kevin Harvick right there had he made a mistake. It wasn’t the best race ever but it had its’ moments for the first half of the race.  Jeff Gordon ends his career finishing 3rd overall, just didn’t have what it took to win it in his final year.

In the pool we have your winner I Can’t Drive 55.  Congratulations Mike Zimmerman, you had the best team for 2015.

Rounding out the top 5 we have Ringer, Mac Attack, FERGIE ONE, and Rust-eze.

Rounding out the top 10 we have Team Midnite #1, Mur-Mac, Mur, Cherry Bomb, ROCKIN ROCKETS,  and Brad Monahan.

Most Points for the week goes to Kandy with 315.

Biggest gain for the week goes Fireball, FordRacking19 both up 5 spots.

Biggest slide for the week goes to JoJo24 down 9 spots.

Thanks again for all those that entered, was an exciting season for sure. Wish I wasn’t so tardy on the updates over the season, wasn’t how I wanted to run the pool.

Phoenix-Nov2015Rained out at Phoenix, very disappointing to say the least.

Dale Jr. gets the win in a strange fashion at Phoenix. It would have been nice to see how this one played out but mother nature had other ideas and it ended with rain late into the evening.

In the pool we have a huge shake up because of who got eliminated from the final 4 in the Chase.

We have I Can’t Drive 55, Ringer, Mac Attack, Cherry Bomb, and Fergie ONE.

Rounding out the top 10 we have Rust-eze, Brad Monahan, Team Midnite #1, Mur-Mac and Rockin Rockets.

Biggest gain for the week goes SDAN up 59 spots.

Biggest slide for the week goes to Julie Morrison down 85 spots.

One race to go, Kevin Harvick looks to be the guy to beat at Homestead.  Lots of story lines on how exceptional it would be for Kevin, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. or Jeff Gordon to win it next Sunday.

That was a pretty nice pass at the end of the race to give Jimmie Johnson the win in Texas.

JJ-Texas

I admit I did not see that one coming, Brad Keselowski dominated the whole day in Texas, well at least up to the last 6 laps.  Joey Logano with the cut tire early in the race killed him for getting a good finish and now needs to win this weekend in Phoenix to move on to the final 4 in the Chase.

In the pool we have Momia-Mia, Suezie 13, S-M-C, Bumper-Bumper, and Forget-Me-Not.

Rounding out the top 10 we have O.S. Attack, MAC, I Can’t Drive 55, Forget-Me-Not, Wiarton Service, and PAPA BILL .

Most points for the week goes to Rust-eze with 316.

Biggest gain for the week goes Mur-Mac, Rocking Rockets, Troy Cameron and Three Amigos all up 2 spots.

Biggest slide for the week goes to Team Midnite #2, FordRacing19, Snork Racing #2, Girt, and Kristen Armstrong all down 2 spots.

Expect standings change again as we get down to the final 4 in the Chase.  Hopefully some good racing in Phoenix this weekend, Kevin Harvick track for sure.

Back to back to back wins for Joey Logano.  The number 22 Ford is/was the favorite to win the Chase this year for sure.

No one liked seeing the race end the way it end accept Joey fans, never fun to see them end under caution.  Would have been nice to see them go at it on the final lap but Kevin Harvick got what he wanted which was a caution just after the restart.

Well we might have been talking about Joey winning 4 straight races in the Chase had it not been for Matt Kenseth.  As it end Jeff Gordon got the win after a wild day in Martinsville.

Kansas-20-22

Logano22-20

during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500 at Martinsville Speedway on November 1, 2015 in Martinsville, Virginia.

I could talk for quite some time on all the drama and controversy the last 3 races have created. Nascar created this new format, 3 race knock out rounds have created these types of driver actions. Take away someone else’s chance to move on and you run the risk of getting taken out at a later day yourself. Did I agree with what Matt did at Martinsville? Probably not but I wasn’t the one that felt wronged two weeks prior at Kansas and then got wrecked at Martinsville just moments before that. So I get how Matt could be that upset, Jeff Gordon did the same thing 3 years ago in Phoenix in the Chase. Will a 1-2 race suspension stop this from happening in the future? My thought is it will only stop those drivers who are still in the Chase. For those that have been knocked out of the Chase already I don’t think a possible 2 race suspension will completely deter this behavior.

In the pool we have Momia-Mia, Suezie 13, S-M-C, Bumper-Bumper, and Forget-Me-Not.

Rounding out the top 10 we have O.S. Attack, MAC, I Can’t Drive 55, Forget-Me-Not, Wiarton Service, and PAPA BILL .

Biggest gain for the last two races goes to uncle Glen up 37 spots.

Biggest slide for the last two races goes to Johnny Rocket down 53 spots.

Back to back wins for Joey Logano.  The number 22 Ford is a favorite to win the chase this year for sure.

Kansas2015.

Talladega will most likely shake things up for who goes onto the next round of the Chase.  Hanging out at the back until 20 to go isn’t a great strategy either from previous race results.

In the pool we have Momia-Mia, Suezie 13, S-M-C, Hot Chilli Heat, and Bumper-Bumper.

Rounding out the top 10 we have Forget-Me-Not, Go-Attack-Go, Coffee-Time, O.S. Attack, and MAC.

Most points for the week goes to Toad with 290.

Biggest gain for the week goes to Toad up 3 spots.

Biggest slide for the week goes to Dutch, Troy Cameron, Nicky_6, and Coming from the Rear all down 2 spots.

Well Joey Logano continues to be strong in 2015 winning his first cup race in Charlotte on Sunday afternoon.

Kevin Harvick had a strong showing as well finishing a close 2nd, with Martin Truex Jr. finishing 3rd.  Tough day for Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kyle Busch, and Matt Kenseth.

In the pool we have Momia-Mia, Suezie 13, Hot Chilli Heat, S-M-C, and Bumper-Bumper.

Rounding out the top 10 we have Forget-Me-Not, Go-Attack-Go, Coffee-Time, O.S. Attack, and MAC.

Biggest gain for the week goes to Cherry Bomb, Big Buzz up 3 positions.

Biggest slide for the week goes to Hooters down 5 spots.

Dover

Kevin Harvick had to win in Dover to advance and he did that with flying colours.  No one could even come close to their speed.  They were 3/10 a second a lap faster consistently over the course of the day.

Jimmie Johnson got eliminated early on Sunday with a rear axle seal failure and he normally wins Dover.

In the pool we have Momia-Mia, Suezie 13, Hot Chilli Heat, S-M-C, and Go-Attack-Go.

Rounding out the top 10 we have Bumper-Bumper, Coffee-Time, Forget-Me-Not, O.S. Attack, and MAC.

Biggest gain over the last two weeks goes to Tail lights and Shannon Reid both up 30 spots.

Biggest slide for the last two weeks goes to Mandy and Snork Racing #2 both down 44 spots.

Sorry I missed last week’s update, no excuse other work has been busy and the update completely slipped my mind!
