Well that was a wild one at Talladega. Only 14 cars actually finished the race, not a high percentage there. If anything is for sure restrictor plate place races in the Chase is a highly debatable discussion. Why not have a smash up derby and see who is still running at the end.

On a positive note that is 3-4 victories for Ford at the 4 restrictor plate races this year.

Congratulations to Bad Brad for pulling the win out in this one, nice pass on Newman to get the win. I think Brad really needs to thank his teammate Joey Logano for all the blocking he did for him to keep everyone else from getting a run on Brad.

Kyle Busch goes back to back with the win in Dover. Chase Elliot looked like he might get his first Cup win but Kyle got around him with 2 laps to go.

Martin Truex back to the winner’s circle in Charlotte.  Truex Jr. pretty much has the 1.5 miles wrapped up this year. Truex and Kyle Busch are the odds on favourites for the 1.5 mile in Homestead at the end of the season. Lots of racing before then but those two seem to be cars no one else can keep up with.

Big shakeup in the pool but remember as drivers are eliminated from the Chase their points are reduced to their original Chase 1xxx points plus whatever points they have earned since.

Wow what an interesting week to say the least in Nascar. Denny Hamlin gets both wins taken away from him for illegal rear ends on the cars in Richmond. Matt Kenseth loses the radiator in his car because he had to brake check for the ambulance that was coming onto pit road at the same time the cars where pitting. Nascar throws two questionable cautions, one that ends up costing Martin Truex Jr. the win on Saturday night in Richmond. Kyle Larson ends up with the win, passes Martin Truex Jr. on the overtime restart.
