Kevin Harvick back in victory lane on Sunday. They for sure have to be one of the teams that has a legitimate shot at the championship this year. Kyle Busch is on a huge slide right now by his normal measuring stick. Denny Hamlin continues to shine, will it be his year to win the Championship this year?

In the pool we have Whiskey Matters, Team Gerda, Amigo Haters, Whiskey Farms, and Three Amigos.

Rounding out the top 10 we have JoJo 64, Big Buzz, Mitchman, Whiskey Ridge, 4LBoxOfRed.

As this is only coming into first round of the playoffs things will shake up in the standings as drivers fall out and don’t move until eventually we end up with the final four in Miami.

Erik Jones gets his first victory of the season winning the Southern 500 at Darlington. Another victory for Joe Gibbs racing, Toyota is on top again this season it seems.

Kevin Harvick gets the win a Michigan, does a controlled burnout with his son in the car, how cool is that! My black flag for the week is Nascar with the PJ1 application at Michigan. The problem with the PJ1 application it is only activated by cars running over it to make it sticky. Well where they put down the PJ1 it wasn’t where the cars would normally run so anyone that tried to run in that application was like driving on a slip and slide. There certainly was a lot of cautions on Sunday so it wasn’t your typical Michigan race at all, lots of great restarts.

In the pool we have Three Amigos, Whiskey Matters, Whiskey Farms, Team Gerda, and Amigo Haters.

Rounding out the top 10 we have Team Infinity War, Circle M Racing #1, 68 Dad, Rollie, and Russhour.

Chase Elliot holds of Martin Truex Jr. to gets his 2nd career Cup win at Watkins Glen. The 9 of Elliot and 19 of Truex Jr. had the dominant cars and it was just about not making mistakes on who won between the two of them. Kyle Busch didn’t make any friends on Sunday. His car looked like it was beat up at Bristol but he was still able to drive it back up through the field a couple of times and secured a top 10 finish.

In the pool we have Whiskey Matters, Three Amigos, Team Gerda, Whiskey Farms, and Amigo Haters.

Hit the wall early in the race and then come back to win the race, congratulations to Martin Truex Jr for getting the job in the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte. I will say I thought it was one of the best Coca Cola 600s in a long time, the new rules package created a lot of excitement. Bowman and the 88 team ended it’s 3 consecutive 2nd place finishes. I misspoke last week about Chad Knaus being Bowman’s crew chief, Greg Ives is actually doing that job. Chad on the other hand is crew chief for William Byron in the 24 car who has also been doing well lately. I thought Brad Keslowski might be back in the winners circle after being so strong for the first 3/4 of te race but the race was full of many turns of events.

Pocono coming up, hopefully better racing than normal there.

So Joey Logano gets the win at Martinsville.  Martin Truex Jr was not happy that Joey bumped him to get the win but Joey did what he had to do to earn a bid to winning the Championship in Homestead.
